Jr. Infrastructure Engineer


  • Installs network servers and systems software and maintains network/systems management services as required.  
  • Assists in developing and implementing network hardware and software, use, support, security, and backup.  Provides second level user support for network users. 
  • Installs and tests software upgrades.  Acts as a technical liaison between the Applications/Systems Analyst, Systems Engineers, Network Management and other staff.  Coordinate the processing of testing procedures for new and modified applications and software systems.
  • Recommends programming sequence and equipment changes to improve the utilization of processing time. 
  • Performs hardware and configuration, as well as modifications to assure adherence to manufacturers’ guidelines and conformity with the physical layout of equipment.  Observes and reports equipment performance deficiencies.
  • Coordinates equipment repairs and suggests alternate hardware devices.  Assist with designing and coordinating physical layout of equipment.
  • Prepares and monitors hardware and software maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Schedule may include evenings and weekends.


High School Diploma and 4 years of IT Server & Network experience required.  Associates Degree plus 2 years of IT Server & Network experience is preferred.  Must have a clean and valid NY State driver’s license at the time of hire. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.  Should have knowledge of Windows Server software, NAS/SAN, Remote installations, TCP/IP, LDAP, HTTP, DHCP, WINS, DNS, Apache / Tomcat  software, Windows Server Group Policy, Active Directory/ Domains/Forests, Microsoft Clustering, Windows desktop operating systems, Email technologies, MSSQL/MYSQL, Group Policy, Internet Information Server, McAfee E-policy server, Microsoft Internet Information Services,  Microsoft System Center Unix/Linux operating systems.
